My thought for today... Dr Barton's Aural Elixirs most people are hypocrites, most people are cowards, (of the two the second one is most damaging to our soul)we may either consciously OR subconsciously ...so I say - Question your life, your value system and your decisions ...Maybe just maybe you can become a better person?#personalgrowth 18 September 2026 #thoughtoftheday #thoughtfortheday #thoughts

DrBAE - Dr Barton's Aural Elixirs don't trust human authority and consensus, of course they can be an excellent guide but don't ever forget your own human reasoning, questioning, ideas, logic and by all things never forget the authority of existence, the universe and God best wishes Iain #faith #belief 17 September 2026

There is tremendous power in asking. Sometimes the greatest barrier to growth is not a lack of opportunity but a reluctance to seek help. Yet when we ask, we invite others into our journey. If we give friends the chance to share their knowledge, encouragement, and experience you might tremendous benefit in doing so.Too often we see asking for help as a sign of weakness. In reality, it is a sign of courage. It requires humility to admit that we do not know everything. It requires confidence to say, "Will you show me how?" But when we do, we discover that people are often far more willing to help than we expect.Socrates said, "The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing." At first that may sound discouraging, but it is actually liberating. The moment we accept that there are things we do not know, we become open to learning. We become curious. We become teachable. And that is where growth begins.Aristotle taught that "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit." Every new skill, every new experience, begins with a first step. None of us starts as an expert. We become capable through practice, persistence, and the support of those around us.Think for a moment about the people in your life. Is there a friend who could teach you something? Is there someone whose experience could help you take that first step? Perhaps they can show you how to cook a new meal, use a new piece of technology, start a new exercise programme, learn a language, paint a picture, or tackle a challenge that has seemed intimidating. Reach out to them. Ask for their help. You may be surprised not only by what you learn but by how much stronger your friendship becomes.

My friends,Let me ask you a simple question. Can you think of something new that you could do this week, something you have never tried before, but which a friend could help you learn or experience? So often, we tell ourselves that we cannot do something because we do not know how. We hesitate because the path is unfamiliar, because we fear making mistakes, or because we believe we should already have all the answers. Yet some of the greatest growth in life comes when we step beyond what is comfortable and allow others to guide us.Mahatma Gandhi once said, "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." Those words remind us that learning is not reserved for childhood or formal education. Learning is a lifelong adventure. Every week presents us with opportunities to discover new skills, new ideas, and even new parts of ourselves. The question is not whether opportunities exist. The question is whether we are willing to embrace them.Perhaps there is a new hobby you could try. Perhaps there is a practical skill you have always wanted to learn. Maybe there is a place you have never visited, a sport you have never played, or a challenge you have been avoiding because you felt uncertain about how to begin. Whatever it is, remember that you do not have to do it alone.
