Work on the principle you are always going to speak the truth.

You may not always answer a question - but you will not lie either!

This maybe a considered lie by deception but not everyone deserves an honest answer to a dishonest question -

If someone is trying to trick you, or it is none of their busy - you have no necessity to tell them - but avoid and refrain from lying.
