four types of procrastination - one solution
The four types of procrastination
Type 1
Classic negative self-talk
Typically I'm too tired or too lazy to do this
Type 2
Creative distractions
Finding other things to do that might be worthwhile but are not the task at hand.
Type 3
Often associated with successful people.
Success in particular can lead to "priority dilution".
We successfully complete things meaning that we have more things ending up having to completed!
Type 4
Schrodinger's Cat - by completing the task we will know that there will be an outcome whether it be positive or negative (even when both outcomes are positive but it will to further actions). By not completing the task then we will not know whether we will have a negative result which we do not want, or even indeed a positive result which leads to further required action.
What we need to do to overcome procrastination
Is discipline
