I have fallen in romantic love, that led to pain, regret and sorrow. The love of a parent, the love of a child these can be difficult things to deal with too - though their purpose can be more easily identified in terms of learning and gratitude for a loving parent, and unconditional love for your child. Have I tried to live gently? With kindness? With gratitude? With peace? The answer often is no. Wisdom has taught me it should not be so. I need to remind myself ... Of my failures to live gently. Let things go gracefully ... While I have done this physically, and of course one would think of, the expression initially in those terms. How often I have failed, and how badly too, to do so both emotionally and mentally. Letting go of things graciously from my head is where I struggle.
